Feb 22, 2015
The year of 2015 has started off with a big bang. Lots of things are going on, and it is going to be a year of transformation and the completion of projects. The biggest thing I am working toward is the completion of graduate school and walking the stage to get my Masters in Social Work after six and a half years of continuous college.
The release of the anthology Bringing Race to the Table is finally complete and has been released. We have even done our first panel on it!!
I will be going to the Parliament of World Religions in October with several of the Solar Cross Board Members and this adventure will prove to be something very enlightening for me. And I am also going back to Lobby Days this year in April with Cal State!!! Getting to go and Lobby in the State Capital with other social workers is a really awesome experience.
And most recently I was accepted the nomination for the Keeper of the Light for 2015 with the Pagan Alliance!! This event will be on May 9th, 2015 in Berkeley and I am very honored to have been asked. This was the first Pagan event I went to when I started following the path, and I was very anxious to go, but it was an awesome experience. Because of that, it has a special place in my heart and being asked to be the Keeper of the Light this year is humbling.
I know there are more things to come and this year is going to support forward movement in many areas. I know that growth is often painful and it is not all butterflies and roses, but I am excited for movement… it is time.
